After studying at the Vienna University of Technology, Herbert Paierl became closely involved with the topic of "renewable energy generation and spatial planning" at the Institute for Environmental Research in Graz in the 1970s. After several years in the administration of the Styria region and in the cabinet of state governer Josef Krainer, Paierl moved to the board of directors of the regional energy provider STEWEAG. From there, he served as Regional Minister for Economy and Finance until 2004, sharing responsibility for the development of the region in the Styrian regional government. After leaving politics, Paierl has remained deeply connected to entrepreneurship in the areas of regional development, infrastructure, and especially the energy industry. As a shareholder and operational managing director, Paierl has already made many successful investments in PV and led them to success.

After studying business administration in Graz and Newcastle, he began his professional career in marketing and business development at VOEST Alpine Bergtechnik, Sandvik, and a medical technology startup. For the past 15 years, he has been involved in the development and implementation of renewable energy projects. Initially focusing on small hydropower, he later expanded into district heating, and for over 10 years, his primary focus has been on photovoltaics. His main areas of expertise include permits, grid access, and financing. As an operational managing director in numerous companies, Bernd Lippacher has realized and implemented projects. He is also the regional spokesperson for small hydropower in Austria, representing Styria.
